إن إدخال المواد الكيميائية الصناعية إلى السوق الأسترالية سواء عن طريق التصنيع داخل أستراليا أو الاستيراد يخضع لنظام إدخال المواد الكيميائية الصناعية الأسترالي (AICIS)الذي حل محل النظام الوطني لتسجيل المواد الكيميائية الصناعية وتقييمها (NICNAS) في 1 يوليو 2020.
يشمل إدخال المواد الكيميائية الصناعية استيراد وتصنيع هذه المواد الكيميائية.
يتم تعريف المادة الكيميائية الصناعية وفقًا لهذا النظام تبعا لاستخدامات هذه المادة. ويشمل ذلك أي استخدام باستثناء ما يلي:
- المنتجات الكيميائية الزراعية.
- المنتجات الكيميائية البيطرية
- مواد أو مخاليط مواد يحضرها صيدلي أو جراح بيطري أو تستخدم في إعداد هذه المواد.
- السلع العلاجية
- الأغذية أو الأعلاف أو المواد المستخدمة في تحضيرها.

Based on the available valid toxicity data, the introducer has to determine the hazard band for the human health and the environment. Next step is to determine the exposure band for the human health and the environment.
According to the determined hazard and exposure bands, the indicative human health and environment risk can be determined.
Finally, the indicative human health risk and the indicative environment risk are used to work out the Introduction’s Category.
